Simbahan sa Bukid started November 09, 2008. David and Jen Hinchey was the founder of it. Simbahan sa bukid first started at the barn with chickens, ducks, and goats inside the building. The church started with 30 people from the bukid. After 5 years of usiiing the barn, finally they moved in the new and permanent building.

The churh begins with no children’s ministry but it didn’t take too long. After a month, they started the children’s ministry. Philippines is one of the country with lot of children. October 2013 was the year that simbahan sa bukid moved in the new building. The church was made of concrete posts, the roof is made from nipa and there are no walls. They designed it to reach out more people from the bukid.
